Da Graziella - Italian style coffee place

Confiserie Beschle - sweets and bakery

 

El Cevichero - best Pisco sour or other cocktails, open until late

 

Choi - varity of Asian food, reasonable prices

Lu - Mezze and oriental specialities

Acento Argentino - Empanadas, Empanadas, Empanadas

Vito - our favorite pizza in town, very small place, better for takeaway

Da Pia - Italian restaurant with reasonable prices

Parterre - European kitchen

 

There are many other restaurants and take aways in the area, but these are our favourites, where we also like to go ourselves. At Kasernenplatz, the autumn fair "Herbschtmäss" also offers bratwurst, crepes, roasted almonds, racellette and many other take-away foods.

 

If you visit Basel for the first time, stroll along the Rhine, take the ferry in front of the big cathedral (Munster) and take a ride with the big wheel for the best view of the city from above.
